With January drawing to a close next week, I am taking stock of my 2019 Resolutions; I’ve given myself a report card:
If I’m being generous with myself, I might be able to give myself an overall passing grade, there is clearly room for improvement. I’m cutting myself some slack because a new job, and some ongoing health issues with one of my parents have me pushing hard just to get through the enormity of the tasks life is throwing my way.
While I may be failing as much as I’m succeeding, taking stock gives me a great opportunity to focus in on building habits to support those resolutions that could use some extra focus and attention. I’m also considering putting some timelines on a few of the longer-term resolutions (as opposed to the daily or weekly tasks) so that they don’t appear to be so insurmountable.
